The representatives of the French Embassy in Ukraine attended the meeting.
The People´s Deputy Andriy Shkil, Head of Ukrainian-French Inter-Parliamentary Group, stated that the Group is willing to participate actively in preparation of the visit of Nicolas Sarkozy, President of France, and French parliamentary members to Ukraine.
The Head of the Inter-Parliamentary Group expressed his hopes that Ukraine will succeed in signing an extended agreement on cooperation with the EU, whilst France´s chairmanship in the European Union.
The People´s Deputies will continue their work towards development of Ukrainian-French relations at the inter-parliamentary level within the subgroups in charge of agricultural sector, environmental policy, business and development of entrepreneurship, cooperation in aerospace sector, humanitarian and legal issues, construction, transport and communications, security and defence, and energy industries.
